Testicular Cancer

About testicular cancer

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged between 15 and 49.

Fortunately, it’s also one of the most treatable types of cancer, and at Nova Healthcare we have specialists on hand to help treat it and get you on the road to recovery.

Typical symptoms are a painless swelling or lump in 1 of the testicles, or any change in shape or texture of the testicles.

Treatment and your options at Nova Healthcare

It can be a frightening prospect to be told you have testicular cancer, but at Nova Healthcare we’re with you every step of the way.

The first course of treatment for testicular cancer is usually to surgically remove the affected testicle. In cases that have been diagnosed early, this may be the only action required.

Depending on the stage and type of cancer, a short course of chemotherapy or radiotherapy may be recommended to prevent the cancer from returning.

At Nova Healthcare we offer chemotherapy for patients with testicular cancer, which is delivered by our team of specialist nurses in our state-of-the-art private chemotherapy suite.
