National recognition for Nova safety scheme at UKEXA

Nova Healthcare tasted award success last night as parent company Aspen Healthcare secured double Gold at the UK Employee Experience Awards (UKEXA).

Representing the company’s eight hospitals and clinics including Nova Healthcare, Aspen Healthcare won Gold in the ‘Delivering Customer Experience’ and ‘Employee Training and Development’ categories, beating stiff competition from the likes of Care UK, McLaren Automotive and Haines Watts.

Aspen’s Gold in the ‘Delivering Customer Experience’ category came after the team presented to judges on the ‘STEP-Up-To-Safety’ scheme, a highly impactful patient safety and culture change programme that is brought to life on a daily basis at Nova Healthcare.

The STEP-Up scheme helps all Nova Healthcare staff understand their role in patient safety and has helped embed a stringent patient safety culture throughout the clinic.

Aspen also won Gold in the ‘Employee Training and Development’ category for the Aspen People Academy, an innovative leadership development programme that staff at Nova Healthcare have participated in and benefitted from.

Speaking about the awards, Noleen Turner, Director of Marketing said:

“While the awards have the Aspen Healthcare name emblazoned on the front, this achievement belongs to our staff and teams across all sites, who do an incredible job at providing exceptional healthcare to our patients. Aspen is a great place to work and we are actively empowering our team to deliver the best possible healthcare to our patients. I know how much work was involved in developing these superb programmes, and it’s fantastic for our work across Aspen to be celebrated with these awards.”

About the UK Employee Experience Awards

Now in its 6th year, the UK Employee Experience Awards is a prestigious annual award ceremony. The awards recognise and celebrate the excellent employee reward, retention, and support measures organisations undertake to develop a productive workforce and strengthen the company from within.

With more than 40 companies presenting virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s award ceremony was unlike UKEXA events of previous years.
