Consultant Medical Oncologist
Professor Joffe undertook his specialist oncology training at the Royal Free Hospital, The Royal Marsden Hospital and The Institute of Cancer Research in London.
He was appointed Consultant Medical Oncologist in 1994 and is based at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. He undertakes clinical sessions in testicular cancer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and has a visiting Professorship within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Leeds.
Professor Joffe’s has an extensive research portfolio and has been an investigator in over 100 clinical trials, focusing upon the treatment of breast, testicular and lung cancer.
He is an active member of a number of professional organisations including the National Cancer Research Institute Testicular Cancer Clinical Studies Group and the Joint Collegiate Council for Clinical Oncology. He is Chairman of the Association of Cancer Physicians and was previously a member of the Department of Health National Chemotherapy Implementation Team until the establishment of NHS England.
